Videos and QR Codes
Videos and QR Codes are just some of the tools available to
help promote the library, aid students in their research, or get information to
students and staffs in a quick efficient way. I have listed below several
examples of the way libraries are using YouTube in their libraries. Many use videos to create tutorials, promote
classes, show off student work, as reminders to return overdue books, and so
much more. Check out these videos to see
what all libraries are accomplishing with videos.

In my library, I would attach QR Codes to books that I am promoting for
students to have quick access to book trailers that will hopefully inspire them
to read the book. Here is an example of

Synopsis: Graham is the typical self-conscience,
romantic, intelligent, and creative geek most teens know in high school.
What makes him special is his love for writing and his love for his best friend
Roxy. He concocts a plan to reveal his love for her during a huge comic
book convention in New York. When his well thought out plan begins to go awry he makes a few discoveries about his relationship with
Roxy, what love really is, and his own identity. All the while, his other
friend, Casey, makes a few discoveries of his own. In the end, Graham
finds some peace of mind about the predicament he is in with Roxy and finally
realizes she is not the only one of them who is amazing. 
Awesome! You will really enjoy the books. It is funny and light-hearted.
ReplyDeleteCreating a video tour of your library is a great idea! I also saw where one librarian create a digital map of here library using an image and the app ThingLink. She linked the finished product to a QR code and posted it all over the library.
